As the final result of CSE 2023 is  released recently, just one request to all the toppers/selected candidates of the exam : Please do take this Coaching Seminar / Interview/Media byte things seriously. Coaching institutes will encircle you like anything soon after results are out and you become GOLDEN DUCKS for them. There must be some good mentors in the journey who could have helped you to reach the destination. However while accepting/speaking in such coachings keep following few pointers in mind (collected from past toppers experiences) 1. Don't accept request for seminar/interview from commercial coachings if you have not personally genuinely benefitted from it. 2. DON'T accept any cash/ in kind benefits from coachings in lieu of seminars/ toppers talk. They will give you many attracive and seemingly JUSTIFIED in kind gifts/packages etc. But remember there is NO FREE LUNCH in this world plus ETHICS is not over with GS4 exam ! 3. Write about your journey till now and brief details of all kind of coachings help you took from any institute and whether it benefitted you or not in your previous and present attempt. Share this on all your social media accounts and initial interviews etc because it will act as a great check for future attractive offers for "speaking lies or half-truths" ! Share the message widely post result. 4. Wherever you go speak CLEARLY what all SPECIFIC help you took from the institute like Mains test series or interview mocks only etc Always clearly tell the core truth explicitly in your speech that "BEING GOOD IN ONE THING doesn't mean any coaching is good in all other things also. I have experienced this aspect as good for me so this part I can recommend, not every part which I have not personally experienced." 5. Often core Coaching mentors are important and inspiring persons so there is a MORAL PRESSURE to recommend / say only good thing about him when you are the guest speaker at the place. However remember more than that important pressure is Aspirant / Topper Social Responsibility. Be clear that you are not their Brand Ambassadors ! 6. Try to share minimal with outside press. And ask clearly to any journalist you are giving a byte to get it first approved from you once before publishing. Otherwise deny it. Warna they will make it a SPICY NEWS benefitting them, not you or aspirants. Experienced by almost all previous toppers. 7. Immidiately hide/delete all your past social media controversial/political posts/opinions. Make Every personal photos shared in past or future visible to only friends , not open public for some time. Add only friends which you personally know. Rest can live as followers if they want. 8. Be very careful in talking/accepting message request with unknown people (especially opposite gender attractive profiles ! - being very Frank here) on social media like Facebook/Instagram etc. Remember good serious aspirants are available in bulk on telegram - no need to waste much time on WA / FB / Insta / Twitter etc for guiding those who have CSE targets on CSE 2028 2030 onwards !! 9. Don't hesitate in putting complaint/ reporting fake profiles. It's essential to counter those especially for famous toppers. 10. Make a group of selected people immediately after list is out but add people only after proper verification. Every year fake people join such groups and misuse information shared later. ( Also beware of IB people getting in !) Lastly remember Lots of selected Candidates in recent years have taken such courageous righteousness driven decisions leading to creating an environment of truth and trust benefitting lacs of hinterland future aspirants who otherwise are being seriously misled by the mushrooming business of commercial vested interests in CSE coaching sector. Please share this message to all selected friends/ relevant groups if you feel this is required to nip in bud a vicious system of commercialisation. Yours Yo Yo Choti Singh and Team PTT

I  would like to just mention the interview was like conversation they made me very comfortable even offered me Black coffee and biscuits😅 both in starting and end. It was very enriching and fascinating experience. The members also joked in between regarding their immunity due to  Delhi’s pollution. And members didn’t grill me or went ahead with areas where I couldn’t answer. And I would like to  say in between the conversation they were also listening actively. Overall a very good experience! P.S. Might have forgotten a few questions Mocks : I gave many but only found Samkalp, Chahal, Vision bureaucrat, Sleepy classes good. Chanakya mandal parivar experience was bit weird as  I was from JNU they started lecturing me for the whole interview on biased Marxist history and about JNU. Utility of mocks- mostly for practice and to explore questions on your Daf areas. And like everyone else I would also say the main interview is nothing like any other mock. Like every year, as is customary, the day comes when some will become officers, for some aspirations will materialize, while for most, dream remains unclaimed and will linger incomplete for year or years, for some it is the moment of closure while some will endeavor for greater achievements. I’m not suggesting this exam defines your life, yet for some, it will undoubtedly pave the way for a new life. I don’t know if final results will be announced tomorrow or not but i am sure of one thing. Each one of you fought so well. And i am so proud of you. No matter how many times you were defeated, if at all during preparations, you still persisted, agony, disappointments, mood swings, fear, self doubt and things beyond things. You fought well Kid. Your story is one of unwavering courage; on your own, you've etched yourself into the pages, your mother's efforts intertwined with yours. You have no idea, how many their dreams are breathing in one of your dream. So, today i just want to tell you, accept whatever comes your way. Success or defeat. Stay stoic. Accept with grace. If you are in the list, keep these things in mind: 1. Don’t be arrogant. You have not become superman. You are still the same. Don’t belittle your efforts. Stay modest. 2. Celebrity syndrome: everyone will want a photo with you. Make sure these photos are not misused. 3. Private everything: your social media handles, if any, increase privacy. Small manipulations here and there, so that it reflects the officer in you. 4. Topper/Community Responsibility: it is important to express gratitude to whoever helped you in achieving your goals. But make sure you are not selling your rank to some random coaching institute. This will not genuinely help the aspirants but only in long run strip them of their valuable monetary resources. Be self aware to come out with a tg channel and clearly tell the sources and institutions that helped you. Call out the institutions misusing your name in whatever capacity. 5. 6. It is important for a civil servant to uphold political neutrality. Immediately delete any political posts from your social media if your name is in final list. 7. There will be an upsurge in fake profiles across social media platforms once you get selected, report/flag them appropriately. Happy Sunday :) - gg

Name - Gareebon ka Adinath Date and Session of Interview - 4th April 2024, forenoon Board's Chairman - Hon'ble Lt Gen Raj Shukla Home state and places mentioned in DAF - Jharkhand, Ranchi, Kolkata Optional - Sociology (nothing asked) College (UG/PG) - WBNUJS Educational background - BA LLB (Hons.) Hobbies - playing football and snooker; listening to hip-hop and rock music; raising awareness about legal issues, rights and responsibilities; writing poems on human emotions and patriotism; acting in plays based on youth and society Achievements (if any) - Gold in Bharatiya Sanskriti Gyan Pariksha; NTSE Scholar, Won negotiation competitio; Football and snooker champion Your experience in interview via a detailed transcript - Chairman: Good morning. What time did you wake up? (6 am). What did you do then? (Got ready, read the paper and came here) What will you do after going back today? (Relax and watch a football game. I think Liverpool play tonight) So you are a football fan? Why, despite being so popular in pockets of India, football lags behind cricket? (Lack of a pyramidal league system, grassroot development, only 14 pro-licensed coaches) But football is so popular, Messi is considered god, why is the craze for football limited to bars and pubs when people want to drink and cheer? But there is a huge craze for league matches, like between Mohun Bagan and what is the other team? (East Bengal, sir) There is a league structure.... (But there are very few teams, and professionalisation of football is inadequate) But cricket was in a similar situation in the 70s and 80s and an elite sport? Why did it succeed but football did not? (India won the world cup when colour TV came) But that is not the only reason... (one of the reasons, sir) Yes, what is the major reason? (Lack of resources) But Mrs Ambani is investing in football... Who has more money than her? (BCCI's revenue is 5000 cr which dwarfs all other associations). Okay, what is your opinion on the 3 language vs 2 language debate? (Mother tongue + Hindi + English) But I have a tiny brain. How will a child like me learn three languages and maths science etc. (Sir, there are other stakeholders like family who can share the burden with the school) Why not mother tongue and English, like Tamil Nadu FM said? (English is technical lingua franca and constitutional obligation to promote Hindi) Sudhanshu Trivedi says shuddh Hindi should be promoted. Do you agree or should bolchaal wali Hindi be promoted? (Bolchaal wali as it is more accessible). M2 (lady member): You are from Jharkhand. What are Eklavya schools? (State of the art education for bright and talented students) Why do you say bright and talented? (Sorry, ma'am. I recant that statement) What are Ashrams? (Don't know) Is there any reservation for STs in Parliament? (mind had gone blank due to messing up the last two questions. Couldn't answer even this full toss). What is hip-hop music? (Origin in 1970s, four elements of DJing, MCing, Beatboxing and B-boying) I don't understand these terms...(I will explain each one, ma'am —explained all four) .... Okay. Your hobby is raising awareness on legal issues, rights and responsibilities. If you are DM and a group of labourers are agitating, what will you do? (I will use my training, but as an outsider looking in I think I will speak with their union leader) No union leader is present, only an agitated mob is there... (I will calm them down by assuring that their concerns will be heard, then I will sit down with their union leaders to understand their issues and concerns). M3: Do you know the Places of Worship Act? What is it's crux? (Told about character of place on 15/8/1947) Why is there an issue in Gyanwapi etc? (The petitioners argue that their character was Hindu due to Puja being allowed, hence Act does not apply) Okay, so this is why there is survey being done to determine character (yes sir...)

The CJI in a statement said he had reversed his father's biggest mistake. Which case was he talking about? (ADM Jabalpur) What did that case say? (Gave the ratio) And what did the CJI overturn it to say? (A.20 and A.21 sacrosanct, 19 also post-Puttaswamy) M4: When you were discussing language earlier, did you notice there is a gap between policy and practice? Politicians give speeches about regional languages but we all prefer English education for our kids... (Issue of quality and quantum in regional language schools, market forces determine demand and supply of English education due to privatisation and commercialisation) But politicians are said to understand the pulse of the people? Have they not understood it here? (No sir, there is a saliency bias in policymaking, like ES23 said) You said saliency bias, which is related to behavioural economics. Is the govt trying to nudge people away from government jobs? (It is partially true, sir, given the recent comments of Economic Advisor to the PM, but a nudge must go beyond political rhetoric in the form of government cutting down on recruitment and outsourcing ancillary functions)... What was your specialisation in law? (IP law, advanced criminal law, etc.) It is said a good criminal justice system is a factor of likelihood of getting caught, possibility of punishment, and severity of punishment... Where do we stand on this in India? (Sir, unfortunately we lag behind here. Overburdened and inadequately equipped police affects the first, judicial pendency and money power in getting legal aid affects the second, while we have moved to a reformative system of punishment when it comes to the third, hence the corrections system needs to be overhauled to provide better rehabilitation and job opportunities for inmates)... All that is okay but it is often said process is punishment (yes sir), people don't get bail (right sir), there are so many undertrials (70% of inmates, sir)... Okay.... M5: What is hypersonic missile? (Speed more than 5 mach) What is mach? (Speed of sound) What is speed of sound? (IIRC from Class 11 Physics, it is 330 km/s) 330km/s???? (Sorry sir, I don't remember) What is *some random missile*? (I don't know) What is Agni? (India's nuclear missile) Have you heard of PMLA? (Yes sir) What was its historical background? (I know the current provisions but not the background) You don't know? It's a current topic (I need to read up on this, sir)... Okay.. Chairman: Your interview is done. All the best! Thank you!

Name - Kaal Bhairava Dasa Sir board 28 feb 2024 forenoon Daf pointers - economics, political science, sociology optional, kriya yoga, rural background Chair 1. describe your life between 2019 and 2024 (spent in my village prepping for civils) - is this your first PT? ( no sir it’s third ) - okay so your graph is on the upward every year, will try to push it further upward (thank you sir) 2. What is comprehensive GDP? ( I didn’t knew) 3. Did you hear President’s budget address? Did she mention reduction in poverty? (Yes sir india has reduced Multi dimensional poverty) 4. How did we reduce MDP? (New Welfarism - public provisioning of private goods - named different schemes like PMJDY, HAR GHAR JAL, PM-AWAS, SBM etc that have helped improve on individual dimensions of MDP - then gave counter view - Household consumption expenditure survey data that says 55% popn still below median std of living) 5. Works of yogender Singh and Andre Beteille (sociology) - couldn’t recall so said sorry 6. Sanskritisation and de Sanskritisation M1 ⁃ What is kriya yoga - why we do it - how we do it ⁃ Works of Dipanker Gupta - (discreet castes and muddled hierarchies) ⁃ What changes have you observed in your village in past few years ( english medium school under Mahatma Gandhi scheme, primary health centre, proper roads under gram sadak yojna and meetha paani via taps) M2 ⁃ How has planning in india changed? ⁃ Rationale behind 5 year plans ⁃ Why change in 2015? ⁃ Which is better - Niti aayog model or 5YPs? (Sir based on today’s requirements centralised planning by planning commission is not preferable as a stakeholder based team india approach has proved itself in past decade) ⁃ Describe higher education scene in India (mentioned UGC and it’s role) ⁃ What are issues in higher education ( rote learning based structure that has led to poor employability of our graduates) ⁃ How do we make it better (implement NEP 2020 which provides for funding body and then I mentioned major features of NEP like multiple entry exit points, focus on R&D, no clear distinction btw curriculum/extra curriculum, learning while doing etc ) M3 ⁃ Approach the israel-Palestine issue as a political scientist ( talked about 2 state solution and Oslo accord template going forward but before that an immediate humanitarian ceasefire enforced by international peacekeepers ⁃ Should india send peace keepers? ( there is no harm in sending as both parties hold Indians in high regard and india was involved in formulation of 2 state solution ) ⁃ Who shall we send then? (preferably a force consisting of members from paramilitary and army under command of an army officer who have such domain experience M4 ⁃ now approach the israel-palestine issue as a sociologist ( sir a unified Palestinian consciousness might be missing due to israeli occupation of land between major arab settlements like Gaza strip, West Bank and Ramallah which have become mini societies ) ⁃ You have agri background so you know the issues just tell me the solutions to our problems ( sir first we must remove export bans to give market access that will increase farm incomes and in long term we must focus on high value products like horticulture, dairy, fisheries which have clocked near to double digit growth rates and have driven our positive agri growth rate rather than cereals that are stagnant at 1.4-1.5% gr and also have led to monoculture ) ⁃ Last question betaji - which is the latest book you’ve read not related to upsc prep ( sir I read “how China sees India and the world by Mr Syam sharan) Chair ⁃ your interview is over I thanked the board and left Might be missing few questions Total duration - 30-32 mins Super mellow board, no disagreements or counter questions Utility of mocks - good for practice and some questions might repeat; peer mocks and discussion are best IMO; special thanks to Dudi Sir, Vikram Sir and Karnail Singh sir
