A high reading is generally perceived as negative because it indicates strong economy and hence DXY pumps and stock markets fall down while low is positive for stocks and hence crypto. ❗️ Only 2.4% of banks dared to invest in cryptocurrencies According to a report by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), only 2.4% of banks dared to invest in cryptocurrencies. 👀At the end of 2021, 19 banks reported to BCBS that they had invested 9.4 billion euros in digital assets. Ten of them were based in the U.S., seven in Europe, and the remaining two in other regions. The BCBS study is based on a limited number of companies monitored by the committee. For this reason, the actual percentage of banks that bought coins may differ from the reported 2.4%. The most popular digital asset was bitcoin and financial instruments based on it, in which 5.3 billion euros were invested. Ethereum (ETH) was the second most popular digital asset, attracting investments of 3 billion euros. Polkadot (DOT) and XRP (XRP) rounded out the top three with €188 million each.
