🔥 EYWA & Curve Finance: Strengthening our Strategic Partnership at TOKEN2049 The TOKEN2049 conference saw a key meeting between our CEO Boris Povar and Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov. Inspired by Michael’s insightful presentations, we discussed some of the most important aspects of strengthening the partnership between EYWA and Curve Finance, in our pursuit of solving the major problems facing DeFi, such as liquidity fragmentation and the vulnerability of cross-chain bridges. ✔️ The liquidity fragmentation problem is solved by CrossCurve — a cross-chain DEX that integrates Curve’s pools with a combined TVL of over $2 billion, creating a unified cross-chain liquidity market. This approach enables liquidity to move unhindered between various blockchains, minimizing fragmentation and increasing the efficiency of liquidity. Soon, any DeFi project will be able to leverage our technology to solve its on-chain liquidity issues.  🔗 Curve Finance, as a recognized DeFi leader and innovator, not only offers reliable pools but also attracts liquidity thanks to its ve-economics, which offers liquidity providers long-term profitability. ✔️ The bridge vulnerability problem is solved by the EYWA Consensus Bridge. This bridge provides a secure and financially efficient way to transfer data and tokens between blockchains. It will serve as the official bridge for Curve tokens, such as CRV, crvUSD, and Curve LPs, as well as for cross-chain voting in the Curve DAO. Thanks to using messaging protocols such as Axelar, Layer Zero, Eywa Oracle Network, and Asterizm, the EYWA Consensus Bridge reduces the risk of asset loss, making cross-network transactions secure and resistant to attacks. EYWA at KBW 2024: How did it go? 🇰🇷 The EYWA returned from Seoul after an eventful week at one of the most impactful blockchain conferences of the year — Korea Blockchain Week 2024. 🔎 EYWA Bridge - why use a consensus mechanism? Currently, most cross-chain bridges use their own message exchange protocols to control the security of user funds. However, such bridges are far from ideal in terms of decentralization and therefore often face various team, regulatory, and governance risks (we earlier wrote about the many exploits suffered by bridges). As of today, there is not a single bridge that is fully decentralized. This exposes the entire ecosystem to the risk of “black swan” events such as what happened with Curve DAO and the Multichain bridge.  ⚙️ Consensus mechanism This is why the EYWA team together with the Curve team are developing a bridge that takes DeFi security to a new level, based on the consensus among the most secure message exchange protocols on the market! ▪️ The EYWA Consensus Bridge is a bridge that brings together the EYWA Token Bridge smart-contracts and the consensus mechanism for verifying data using such protocols as Axelar, L0, Wormhole, Chainlink CCIP, and others. This creates the most secure solution for the exchange of messages, as well as the storage and transfer of liquidity. A bridge whose security does not rely on any team and whose liquidity is controlled by the bridge’s users.  ➕ The advantages of the consensus mechanism: ▪️ Reducing risk: While the probability of any individual bridge being hacked persists, the probability of several big bridges being hacked at once is practically equal to zero.  ▪️ Synergy with the main players on the market: Our approach encourages cooperation, rather than competition, in DeFi – combining the efforts and the experience of the best teams fighting for a secure future for crypto. 🔗 How does it work? Information is sent out via several message exchange protocols simultaneously. Users can indicate specific protocols they wish to use and the minimum quorum of protocols needed for that transaction to go through. Our smart-contract in the destination chain tallies the results of the transaction and compares them to make sure that a quorum is reached (e.g. 2 out of 3, or 3 out of 5). If even one of the protocols is compromised, the quorum will not be reached and the transaction will be paused. The user will be able to withdraw his funds from the swap's origin chain.  📌 The EYWA Consensus Bridge sets new standards of security and reliability in the cross-chain industry, giving users complete control while bringing their risks down to zero.

📢 «The end game for fragmented liquidity»: What does it mean? Fragmented liquidity sounds like a complicated technical term, but it’s actually a long-known and pervasive problem in DeFi. ❓ What is the essence of the problem? Simply put, for DeFi to have volume and trust levels of trading comparable to traditional finance, it needs to have enough crypto liquidity that can be easily, quickly, cheaply, and securely exchanged. However, crypto assets in DeFi are heavily “fragmented” across multiple Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains. Moving this liquidity between these blockchains has significant time (sometimes days)  and financial costs, along with security risks.  ❓ What solutions exist today? Liquidity started growing exponentially in 20020, when Compound introduced liquidity mining (rewarding users for providing liquidity), which effectively started the DeFi “gold rush.” Later, as new L1 and L2 chains emerged, bridges were built to transfer liquidity between them using ​​cross-chain protocols such as Wormhole and Chainlink CCIP. However, the liquidity fragmentation issue remained unresolved. Moreover, no single bridge is completely secure from hacking — and having to use multiple bridges to cover all the chains exposes users to too much risk (to date, bridge exploits caused over $2B in user funds stolen). ❓ Does that mean that the liquidity fragmentation problem is unsolvable?  Certainly not! As the founder of Curve, Michael Egorov stated: “EYWA builds a very interesting solution: it's not just your typical bridge. They solve the problem of liquidity fragmentation between chains by creatively composing Curve meta pools and the actual bridge. Having one liquidity pool working across multiple chains sounds like magic, and it is exciting to have Curve AMMs in the core of this magic.” From the very beginning, Curve pools were among the most reliable and effective ones in DeFi. But they are fragmented. There is nothing uniting all the different pools and bridges into a single metaprovider of liquidity. That is, there wasn’t until EYWA got involved. 🛡 EYWA’s consensus mechanism — the answer to cross-chain bridge vulnerabilities DeFi has long become multichain. Users who only a few years ago were just learning how to use MetaMask are now swapping from chain to chain daily. They have to use many different bridges, which are often exposed to attacks. Here are just a few examples of hacking attacks on bridges: 1 Ronin bridge hacked for $624M 2 Poly network - $612M 3 BNB bridge - $566M 4 Wormhole bridge - $326M 5 Nomad bridge - $190M 6 Horizon bridge - $100M 7 Qbridge - $80M Even the Jumper bridge, which itself was able to counter-exploit the Wormhole hacker for $140M, recently faced vulnerability issues in its smart-contracts. ❓ So why do these bridges keep getting attacked?  The answer is simple: the current system is flawed, especially in how bridges are governed in a centralized or semi-centralized manner. When governance is in the hands of a single team, it’s a lot easier for malicious actors to find a way in. In contrast, the Consensus Bridge will decentralize this risk, relying not on a single team or protocol but on several at the same time. This is a significantly more secure governance model.  ➕ What makes the “Consensus Bridge” different from the other bridges? A completely new level of security. To hack the Consensus Bridge, malicious actors would have to compromise every participant in the consensus. If one bridge gets hacked, the others will refuse to confirm its questionable message and the transaction will not happen.  This multilevel defense makes hacking so difficult as to render it practically impossible. Which in turn significantly increases user trust and the security of the entire system. ✔️ After the release of the EYWA Consensus Bridge, we will be able to give users the maximum level of security, allowing them to easily execute swaps between different blockchains. 💡 The true value of EYWA NFT - did you know?  Many of you have already lucked out to snag an EYWA NFT, but our community is growing so fast that it’s time to do a deep dive into the types of NFTs and their functions. Understanding their full potential will open up a whole world of possibilities for you. So let’s go! The EYWA NFT collection contains 53,996 unique NFTs, each visually representing one of four mythical characters: Magician, Dryad, Ent, and Spider. There are five rarity levels: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Infinity. Infinity is so rare that there are only 193 such NFTs. Rarity has a very functional role — more on that below.  ▪️ EYWA’s NFTs are not just pretty pictures to collect. They have 3 specific functions that make them a powerful tool in the hands of their holders:  ✔️ $EYWA token container: Each NFT can hold a maximum number of $EYWA tokens depending on its rarity. It can contain both unlocked and locked tokens, so you can sell your locked tokens at any time by simply selling the NFT.  ✔️ Merging: You can merge several lower-rarity NFTs into a higher-rarity one. For example, merge 5 Common into 1 Uncommon, 7 Uncommon into 1 Rare, and so on. The merged NFTs get burned but all the contained tokens and bonuses “survive” and are moved to the new NFT.  ✔️ veEYWA multiplier: The more rare your EYWA NFT, the higher multiplier you get for your veEYWA voting within the CrossCurve DAO. 🗞 New month - new achievements. Let’s revisit EYWA’s June. ▪️ We started the summer with a visit to the Vietnam Blockchain Week, where it wasn’t just about discovering a beautiful tropical country but also networking among over 9000 participants from 500+ companies worldwide. Later, we attended the Proof of Talk event in Paris — and were ranked #4 out of 300 (!) projects.  ▪️ Additionally, our CEO spoke at the Blockchain Community Day Conference 2024 about fragmented liquidity, which is at the core of the interoperability trilemma (a highly recommended presentation). ▪️ While our reps were traveling the world, it was our community who got to see the real journey — our Pre-listing Roadmap, which included details on key activities and product updates (and even a raffle for those who paid attention).  ▪️ It’s always a two-way street here at EYWA, and so the two EYWA co-founders held a community AMA to discuss the roadmap and field questions. It was full of great questions and discussion.  ▪️ While openly discussing the future, we kept building the present. Most importantly, we added two new chains to CrossCurve: Gnosis and Base. ​​📣 EYWA Team achievements and future plans 🤝 The strategic partnership with Curve and attracting its founder, Michael Egorov, as the lead investor has allowed us to reach a new level of collaboration with Tier-1 crypto projects and attract the attention of specialized investment funds. ⛓ Our new DEX, CrossCurve, has already proven its innovativeness, and we entered the TOP-10 finalists of Paris Blockchain Week. From April 9 to 11, we will pitch in Paris and compete for a prize fund of $10 million. On March 28, we updated the CrossCurve architecture and began using the liquidity of Curve’s main pools for cross-chain exchanges, which allowed us to further reduce slippage.
