⚛️GS4 - Strategy for Mains ➡️Cover all topics mentioned in the syllabus. You have to understand each topic well. You might feel that a lot of terms/topics in the syllabus are similar, but there is some difference, make sure you understand it in detail. (I had used OnlyIAS Prahaar + Write Smart classes, and Decode Ethics by Mudit Jain) ➡️Try and make atleast one page note for all topics. Look at PYQs to see what all dimensions have been explored (for a particular topic) and make your notes accordingly. ➡️ Find out relevant examples for all topics and write them down in your notes itself so that you can revise them again. ➡️Value addition - 2nd ARC - 4th report : Ethics in Governance, Nolan committee values etc ➡️For case studies the best source is topper copies. Look at how they have approached the question and how they have presented. You may also find value addition content in their answers, viz - SC judgements, some committee reports, good examples etc I had taken Ethics Case study course of Utkarsh sir -https://t.me/MentorshipWithUtkarsh ➡️Make it a habit to mention the keywords mentioned in the syllabus in your answers (make sure they are relevant too). ThIs definitely fetches good marks.. ➡️For conclusion, you can make use of Quotes, Speeches by Leaders, that will add value to your answers. ➡️One important thing is that, the paper is going to be a bit lengthy, so keep revising Value specific Keywords- quotes- examples in 15-20 time duration daily.. for fast recalling and writing. Hello, mains 2024 appearing Aspirants, Until you write and get those answers evaluated then work on that feedback, you won’t know where you stand. UPSC is about 25% of knowledge, 25% of luck and 50% of presenting that knowledge in a coherent way. This is because you should know how important writing is to clearing this exam… now let’s come to how you do that, because i know how hard it is to write 20 questions on one go, in starting it takes 3-4 even 5 hours to write a test. So the solution is to start small… write 2-3 questions daily for a week or two. Then 5-7 then the full tests. But keep in mind,there is no other way, you have to write to get where you want to.
