📖 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 Biden says "China is determined to dominate these industries. I'm determined to ensure America leads the world in them." | Arnaud Bertrand Let's see where we are today: - Steel: China 54% global market share, vs US 4.3% () - Aluminum: China 55% share, vs US 1.5% () - EVs: China 60% share, vs US 8% () - Solar panels: China 78% share, vs US 2% () - Semiconductors: China 7% share, vs US 48% () In other words, except in semiconductors, the US has about zero chance in hell to "lead the world" in any of those industries given China already completely dominates them. And it's certainly not with tariffs that they'll catch up. Solar panels is a good case study because the US has had tariffs on them since 2012 (). The tariffs did considerably reduce the number of Chinese solar panels coming to the US (86% drop over the 2012-2020 period: ) BUT it did nothing to revitalize the US solar industry. Despite the country pouring billions of dollars in subsidies to do just that since introducing the tariffs, the US ends up with a negligible 2% global market share... And it did nothing to prevent China from dominating the global market since that's the one industry where they have the biggest global market share at an incredible 78%. Will even higher tariffs somehow change this? It's like doubling down on a "solution" that's proven obviously counterproductive.. 📎

🇨🇳 ❌️ 🇮🇱 China is burning all its bridges with Israel ⬛️ Desire to be seen as champion of Global South drives policy tilt 🔶️ Ma Xinmin, a Foreign Ministry legal department official, set out Beijing's stance at an International Court of Justice hearing in February: "In pursuit of the right to self-determination, the Palestinian people's use of force to resist foreign oppression and to complete the establishment of an independent state is an inalienable right well founded in international law." Last month, Beijing even hosted a Hamas delegation. 🔶️ Through the fighting since October, Beijing has put all blame on Israel, while Chinese social media platforms like Weibo and WeChat have suddenly filled with antisemitism. Noting this, Aaron Keyak, the Biden administration's deputy envoy on antisemitism, observed in January, "Because we know the Chinese internet is not free, that's a conscious decision by the Chinese government to allow that kind of rhetoric to be greatly increased." 🔶️ Similarly, when Iran sent a unprecedented volley of missiles and drones toward Israel last month, Beijing referred to it as an "act of self-defense" in response to an Israeli strike on an Iranian diplomatic compound in Damascus. Speaking to his Iranian counterpart after the attack on Israel, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, "Iran can handle the situation well." 🔶️ China's stance appears to reflect both a desire to position itself as a viable alternative to the U.S. and the heretofore American-led order and its economic interests as the world's largest oil importer. China's growing clout in the Middle East includes not only a strengthening strategic partnership with Iran, but close ties with Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states. 🔶️ Jerusalem has quietly signaled its disgruntlement with Beijing's approach. In late October, Israel signed on to a joint statement of concern with more than 50 other governments about alleged Chinese crimes against humanity in its predominantly Muslim Xinjiang region. Last month, an Israeli parliamentary delegation visited Taiwan and met with President Tsai Ing-wen who commented, "Bilateral interactions have recently been very close."

📖 🇺🇸 International Performance Recognition for Patriot Front 🔶️ Throne Dynamics issues analysis of Patriot Front and recognition for the growing expertise, competence and reach they consistently demonstrate. 🔶️ Organizing men is difficult at best. Organization of fighting age males into a public resistance movement that consistently and competently stops short of violent action is a extreme marker of severe professional leadership. Channeling of the inherent passions of young men into physical fitness, hikes, and nationalist fight clubs is demonstrably a key component of their continuous discipline. 🔶️ Compounded with thousands of activism instances as this reported example from September to October 2023 iterates, Patriot Front's ground dominance performance is extremely high. 🔶️ Of especial note to the Company is the subtle spread of Patriot Front organization and delivery mechanisms through the European theater. 🔶️ Vanguard Britannica in the United Kingdom and Geuzenbond in the Netherlands are both indicia of this spread, boosted by the formal presence of Patriot Front representatives at events in Paris and Germany. 🔶️ The effort, consistency, and organization required for management and direction of hundreds upon hundreds of fighting age males across a three-thousand mile expanse of contested national terrain, without deviation from propaganda consistency or failure in kinetic restraint, accompanied by spread to foreign nation-states, is outside the scope of both US Federal competence or remit at this stage. 🔶️ Very simply, such criticism of Patriot Front is based on fear of their competence, internal bitterness arising from the accuser's personal cowardice in comparison, and personal envy at their sharply demonstrated will to bear duty of the State.

🌏 📝 If you know a country's geography, you can understand and predict its foreign policy — Napoleon Bonaparte. 🔶️ It is of no surprise that China has filled the footsteps of securing the old Imperial Japanese objectives. In WWII, Japan's Naval General Staff wanted to cut the sea links between Australia and the United States by capturing New Caledonia, Fiji, and Samoa. Meanwhile, the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission from 2018 found that a Chinese military base in the South Pacific could prevent US military access to the region and affect key US allies New Zealand and Australia. 🔶️ Ultimately, Imperial Japan's Operation FS was following the Japanese setback at the Battle of the Coral Sea, then cancelled after the Japanese defeat at the Battle of Midway, following the losses of four Japanese fleet carriers. The land forces originally dedicated for Operation FS, namely the 17th Army, were instead reassigned to a subsequently unsuccessful reattempt to take Port Moresby, part of the original goal for Operation MO, and to defend the Solomon Islands from Allied offensives.

🇨🇳 🇦🇺 🇺🇸 The Chinese funded Melanesian Spearhead Group (green), in which the Chinese aim is securing a lease for a military base. New Caledonia (blue) sits between these islands, Australia and New Zealand 📝 China might be able to turn a profit if they choose to disregard living standards, but their goal is not an economic interest in taking this expensive, tiny, two-hour-drive island. A new infrastructure program would cost them more than paying directly for the nickel and fishing licences. The main interest is to have a strategic ally close to Australia and New Zealand and to contest a great martime crossroads linking them to the U.S.. That's why they are ready to pay for an island that would secure an additional U.N. vote for China. New Caledonia is the last Pacific island chain China needs to control to ensure their hegemonic monopoly over the island community of Melanesia. This strategic location offers a means to encircle Australia, gain access to Antarctica, and a fishing route to Latin America.

🇫🇷 New Caledonia | A Racial War? - Klovis 🔶️ In December of 2020, Whites and Kanaks fought in New Caledonia for several days, after a Nickel factory was sold, an event which served as a pretext for the Kanaks to revolt. Whites, who are more productive, control a large part of the economy, so the social conflict turned into a racial conflict, as in South Africa. Kanak Marxists, supported by China, want to put an independent Caledonia under Chinese influence. 🔶️ Currently, New Caledonia is at the economic level of New Zealand. But only because of French assistance. Like many other colonies of ages past, the White-European settlers built up these countries. The independence-seeking Kalaks are aware of this. Blind separation from France would result in their living standards regressing to the post-colonial mean for their region, such as that of the Solomon Islands. In order to halt the decline of living standards, they seek out China as their preffered regional power. This is because the Chinese investments in the nearby Vanuatu islands serves as an example to New Caledonians. They are willing to retain living standards for the sacrifice of becoming debt-trapped by China as they hold the power of a mere pebble in comparison. True to their nickname in French: "Le caillou". (a small pebble). 🔶️ As for the economy of New Caledonia, the main export is Nickel, of which 1/4th of the world's supply originates from here. Which is gruadually becoming cheaper as it becomes less rare in the global supply. Tourism consisting of Australians & New Zealanders, but also French mainlanders. And then of course the fishing industry. New Caledonia has a large EEZ because it is an archipelago, however, most of the marine wildlife is not yet exploited. But all of this does not give the island "true" financial life. New Caledonia is reliant on taxes paid by metropilitan France to support the overseas territories. So for the Kalaks, the island is an economic failure. This was already the case since the 1960's as native Nickel deposits were discovered at a time when the prices were better. 🔶️ "We are not afraid of China. It's France, not China, that colonised us. It doesn't bother us to any great extent. Jean-Marie Tjibaou said thirty years ago that independence means managing interdependence. We are not only looking towards Europe, it is far from here, we are not going to act today as if China did not exist ". -said the independence leader Roch Wamytan, President of the Congress of New Caledonia. The linked post is from December of 2020.

🇫🇷✊🏾 ETHNIC CONFLICTS IN NEW CALEDONIA 👉🏻 For several days now, New Caledonia has been prey to very serious violence, to the point that some people talk of a quasi racial war 🏭 On this French territory, whites and Kanaks have been fighting for several days, after a Nickel factory was sold, an event which serves as a pretext for the Kanaks to revolt 🇿🇦 Whites, who are more productive, control a large part of the economy, so the social conflict turns into a racial conflict, as in South Africa 🔥 The Kanaks and their socialist movement have attacked several whites, looted shops and set up roadblocks 👌🏻In response, whites took to the streets with weapons to enforce the law 💣 The situation is on the verge of escalation 📌 What is New Caledonia? 🌏 It's a French island located near Australia 👨🏾 It is half populated by aborigines (Kanaks, Blacks/Islanders) and the other half by french whites 💥 For 100 years, these two groups have been fighting each others, with a high number of victims

🇪🇺🇨🇳 EU feels heat from all sides as decision on Chinese EV duties looms EU investigators are putting the finishing touches on a blockbuster probe of subsidies in China’s electric vehicle sector, but pressure is mounting from all sides as they decide what to do next. A decision on whether to impose provisional duties on EVs made in China is expected close to a June 5 deadline, with Brussels thought to have gathered ample evidence that subsidies in the sector exist, and that they have distorted the European market. Some EU member states with big automotive ties to China have been voicing their opposition to any push to match the United States, or to put tariffs on the imports at all. “We don’t want to dismantle global trade, that’s a stupid idea,” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said this week, Politico reported. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz pointed out that “currently at least 50% of imports of electric vehicles from China are from Western brands that produce there themselves and import them to Europe”.
